Everflex with Hyaluronic Acid |
| Concerns: |
Cartilage Damage / Joint Pain or Damage |
| How Herbs Affect System: |
Glucosamine sulphate and glucosamine hydrochloride are natural substances in the body's joints and cartilage or bone connective tissue. They stimulate the manufacture of cartilage to repair joints. Glucosamine helps keep cartilage strong and flexible. It relieves pain and inflammation even though it exhibits very little direct anti-inflammatory effects and no direct pain relieving effect. Chondroitin sulfate is a sugar molecule found in joints and connective tissues. It will assist the body in rebuilding damaged, inflamed and painful joints, especially from osteoarthritis. Chondroitin attracts and holds fluids in the joints which absorb stresses from physical impact. NSP offers a few different products with glucosamine and chondroitin, including Everflex that also contains MSM (to increase the effectiveness of the others) and devil's claw. The new Everflex contains hyaluronic acid that provides viscosity and elasticity of the fluid that surrounds the joints. |

KB-C |
| Concerns: |
Joint Pain or Damage / Osteoporosis |

Because the kidneys are related to the structural system, KB-C is used to build bones, joints and ligaments. In addition it removes uric and other acids from the body, thus assisting the body in overcoming gout and joint inflammation. It also helps repair broken bones, slipped spinal disks, and helps restore bone density. KB-C is a Chinese formula containing morinda, astragalus, discorea, panax ginseng, lycium, atractylodes, and other Chinese herbs. |

MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) |
| Concerns: |
ARTHRITIS / CARPAL TUNNEL / CARTILAGE REPAIR / BULGING SPINAL DISKS / JOINT PAIN OR DAMAGE / INFLAMMATION. This information is not intended to replace proper medical treatment, but only to support it nutritionally. Consult your health professional before using any supplements or before making changes in prescribed medications. |
| How Herbs Affect System: |
MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) is normally available to the body from raw fruits and vegetables, but is destroyed by cooking. Sulfur is used by the body to maintain and repair tissues and bones, increase circulation, reduce inflammation, resist toxins and inhibit carcinogens from forming. Please be aware that herbs are nutritional supplements. As with all health problems, no specific herb or combination of herbs works for all people, because everyone's body is unique. The intent is to offer historical uses of herbs. Information and statements regarding herbs and dietary supplements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. |

SAM-e (S-Adenosylmethionine) |
| Concerns: |
Joint Pain or Damage / Cartilage Damage |
| How Herbs Affect System: |
Normally, the body produces SAM-e from the amino acid methionine. However, many people have a deficiency of methionine (particularly patients suffering from structural system problems, nervous system problems, and various digestive system problems.) It appears that supplementing with methionine directly does not increase SAM-e levels and can not lead to toxicity. SAM-e appears to help the body manufacture components of cartilage and to restore joint function. |
