· Circulatory System The circulatory system consists of the heart and arteries. Good nutrition and exercise is important to maintain a good functioning circulatory system. Indications for nutritional aid to the circulatory system include cold hands and feet, medical diagnosis of artery or heart problems, blood pressure problems, wounds in the extremities that won't heal, brittle hair or balding. An acid pH in your blood and urine contributes to these problems which is why one should consume many fresh fruits and vegetables that are alkalizing. The first sign of a problem is numbness, tingling in the arms and legs. Consult your physician.
· Digestive System The digestive system consists of the stomach, small intestine, liver, and gall bladder. Indigestion, heartburn, insufficient enzymes, stomach ulcers, stomach cramps, gas, abdominal pain, bloating, nausea, vomiting and constipation or diarrhea upon eating.
· Glandular System The glandular system consists of the pancreas, thyroid, pituitary, adrenal and reproductive glands. The concerns are sexual problems such as PMS in women and prostate problems in men, thyroid problems (hyperactivity or low body temperature and fatigue) and blood sugar problems. The glandular system regulates basic drives and emotions, assists in the repair of broken tissue and helps generate energy.
· Immune System The immune system consists of the thymus, spleen and lymphatic system. The concerns of the immune system are immune deficiencies that can lead to colds, viruses, chronic fatigue, fever, infections and cancer. Medical attention is needed to treat cancer and other serious immune problems. Nutritional support can accompany many medical prescriptions, but consult with your physician first.
· Intestinal System The intestinal system concerns are gas, abdominal pain, bloating, nausea, vomiting, constipation, or diarrhea upon eating. These often seem to be caused by stress and food intolerances. They may also be connected to overuse of antacids, laxatives or antibiotics.
· Nervous System The nervous system includes the brain, spinal cord and nerves. Concerns related to the nervous system are headaches, insomnia, nervous disorders, depression, memory trouble, anxiety, fatigue, and appetite changes.
· Respiratory System The respiratory system consists of the sinuses and lungs. Common concerns are asthma, hay fever, coughs, bronchitis, pneumonia and sinus infections. Medical attention is needed to treat these problems. Nutritional support can accompany many medical prescriptions, particularly with viral pneumonia. This information is not intended to replace proper medical treatment, but only to support it nutritionally. The person with these complaints should eliminate dairy products, sugar, white flour, coffee, tea, soda, meat and drink plenty of liquids. In addition the person should take large amounts of vitamins A, C, E, Zinc, Beta Carotene, and Germanium.
· Structural System The structural system consists of the skin, hair, muscles and skeleton. Some concerns of the structural system are inflammation, joint pain or damage, arthritis, carpal tunnel, cartilage repair, bulging spinal disks. Hydrochloric acid deficiency in the stomach and a high protein diet can cause problems with this system.
· Urinary System The urinary system consists of the bladder and kidneys and is the means by which the body filters the blood and maintains a clean supply of fluids. Common concerns are bladder infections, kidney infections, kidney stones, incontinence, cystitis, painful urination, kidney inflammation and fluid retention.
· Weight Loss Weight loss is included here as a common health concern. Weight loss is enhanced by chromium and vanadyl sulfate which help regulate blood sugar levels. Chromium diminishes sugar cravings which is useful for weight loss. It is important to begin a diet with a cleanse to remove toxins from the digestive system and intestines.
